Hincks in 2017 (Jr.): A first-year starter for the Mids at close defense, turned in 17 ground balls and recorded eight takeaways ... contributed a pair of ground balls against Holy Cross in the Patriot League Quarterfinals ... member of the Mids’ defensive unit that held Army scoreless for the final 18:32 of the contest while the Mids went on a 7-0 run to upset the Black Knights … Navy also held Army without a goal for the first 22 minutes of the game … the six goals by Army tied as the fewest by the Black Knights this season ... caused two Army turnovers in what was his first appearance in the rivalry ... 2016 (So.): Served as Matt Rees’ backup at pole before suffering an injury that sidelined him for a number of games ... part of a defensive unit that held Delaware (2.21) to just one goal ... it was the fewest goals scored by a Navy opponent since the Mids defeated Army West Point in the semifinals of the 2007 Patriot League Tournament, 12-1 ... it was also the fewest goals scored by a Delaware team since dropping an 8-1 decision to Fairleigh Dickinson in 1969.

More on Hincks: A 2013 graduate of South River High School in Edgewater, Md., Hincks spent the 2013-14 academic year at the Naval Academy Prep School ... a two-sport standout who earned letters in football (2) and lacrosse (4) ... member of the 2012 state championship-winning lacrosse team who posted a 20-0 record ... the 2011 and ‘13 teams were state finalists and region champions ... a two-time all-county and All-State (Md.) lacrosse selection at defense ... garnered all-county and All-State honors in football his senior year ... a finalist for the C.
