2025 // Freshman Year
• A starter in 8 of the 15 games in which played, he finished the year tied for 3rd on the team in scoring with 30 points on 13 goals and a team-high tying 17 assists
• With a pair of assists against Army, he became only the 16th freshman in program history to reach 30 points ... teammate Jack Ponzio joined him on the list with a 4-point effort against Bucknell ... Goers and Ponzio are just the 3rd tandem in program history to reach the 30-point mark as freshmen, joining Paul Basile and Tom Hanzsche in 1986 and Tucker Hull and Sam Jones in 2011 ... current teammates Henry Tolker (2022 / 23-11=34) and Mac Haley (2023 / 16-14=30) also reached 30 points in their respective freshman year
• With his assist at Colgate, he joined Navy’s freshman top-10 assists list where he tied Ian Dingman for 6th with 17 assists
• Moved to midfield for the final 3 games where he did not take a shot
• Recorded 2 assists in the Mids’ overtime loss to #5 Army
• Dealt out a pair of assists, both during the Mids’ 5-1 run in the opening quarter of Navy’s win over Lafayette on Senior Night
• Scored 2 goals and handed out an assist in the Mids’ loss at Colgate
• Dealt out a pair of assists in Navy’s win at Holy Cross, including the pass that led to Mac Haley’s game-winner in overtime
• Scored a goal and dealt out a pair of assists in the win over Le Moyne ... also grabbed a career-high 5 ground balls and forced a turnover
• Turned in a goal and an assist in Navy’s loss to Lehigh and #11 Johns Hopkins (3.15)
• Earned his 1st-collegiate start in Navy’s 13-9 victory over #20 Boston U. ... punched in a pair of goals
• Garnered Patriot League Rookie of the Week honors following his 6-point (4G, 2A) performance in the win over #18 Towson ... at the time, the 6 points were the most by a Navy freshman since March 12, 2011, when Sam Jones scored 6 points (3G, 3A) against Lafayette ... it was the most points by any Navy player since last year’s 2nd game of the season when Xavier Arline had the same line (4G, 2A, 6 Pts) against Hofstra in a 16-8 win ... at the time, Goers’ 4 goals were the most by a Navy freshman since March 26, 2022, when current teammate Henry Tolker punched in 4 against Holy Cross in a 14-8 win
• Part of an offense that scored 22 goals against Iona, including 10 in the opening quarter ... it’s the first time Navy has scored 20 goals since defeating VMI 21-7 on Feb. 8, 2015 and it’s the most goals scored by the Midshipmen since they defeated Holy Cross 23-5 on April 18, 2004
• One of 9 players to score their 1st-collegiate goal, Goers produced a career-high 4 points on 2 goals and 2 assists against the Gaels ... one of his goals was scored a man up when he intercepted an in-bounds pass and punched it in
• Dealt out an assist and caused a turnovers in Navy’s opener at High Point
• Began the year ranked 15th among Inside Lacrosse’s Early Season Top-30 Impact Freshmen and ended the year 15th on the Final Impact Rankings

• Attended the Naval Academy Prep School in Newport, R.I. during the 2023-24 academic year
• Father, Mark, is a 1995 graduate of Towson where he was a Third-Team All-American in 1994 after setting the NCAA record for single-season faceoff winning percentage, a mark that stood for better than 20 years ... the elder Goers is one of just three men in NCAA history to win 75 percent of more of their faceoffs in a season (Delaware’s Steve Shaw in 1985 and ‘86, TD Ierlan in 2018 and ‘19) ... Goers remains the record holder at Towson fro career faceoff winning percentage (375-535, 70.1), a mark that stands #3 in the NCAA record book
• Grandfather, Philip, Goers, is a graduate of Wittenberg where he was a member of the basketball team
• Uncle, Matt Goers, is a 1990 graduate of Ohio State where he was a four-year letter winner the Buckeyes’ lacrosse team and served as team captain his senior year
