U.S. Rowing:
• Competed for the U.S. National Team at the 2009 World Under-23 Championships in Racice, Czech Republic
• Rowing on the lightweight men[apos]s four without coxswain boat, he helped the Americans to a 10th-place finish in the event
High School:
• Attended Arcadia Valley High School, where he lettered in cross country (four), track (four), tennis (four) and basketball (two)
• Finished second at the state cross country championship as a senior to earn all-state accolades
• Placed 28th at the state championship in cross country during his junior season
