2023, ‘24 Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference All-Academic Team
2023-24 // Junior Year
• As a junior, played the #1 spot on the ladder the entire year where he posted a 13-15 record / 16-16 including action at the CSA Individual Championship
• Put together a 9-9 record in extra-game matches
• Played a solid match against MIT’s Mero Elmarassy at the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship, rallying from 2 games down to win the match in 5 games (7-11, 5-11, 11-8, 12-10, 12-10)
• Posted a 1-2 record at the CSA Team Championship, defeating Denison’s J. Felipe Hernandez in a spectacular match by both players - 8-11, 4-11, 17-15, 11-9, 11-9 - before coming up short against Lewis Anderson of St. Lawrence in 5 and Hobart’s Hussein Labib in 4
• Posted a 3-1 mark at the College Squash Association Individual Championship ... after dropping a 3-1 match to Cornell’s Syan Singh, he came back to defeat Wesleyan’s Nimai Kini (3-0) in the consolation quarters, MIT’s Mero Elmarassy (3-0) in the consolation semis and Western’s Daniel Deverill (3-2) in the consolation finals
• Along with teammates Matthew Kang, Alexander Orr and Lucas Spiro, Wang was named to the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference All-Academic Team
• Also garnered First-Team All-Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference recognition for a second-consecutive year
2022-23 // Sophomore Year
• Alongside Henry Sparkman, finished the year with the second-most wins, posting a 21-15 record
• Began the year playing the #2 position where he tallied an 11-2 record before taking over the #1 spot on the ladder at the turn of the calendar year where he turned in a 9-11 mark
• Opened the year winning 12 of his first 13 matches, surrendering his lone match during that stretch to Virginia’s John Paul Tew
• Won several epic five-game matches including against #19 Williams (Udai Pal // 4-11, 11-6, 9-11, 11-8, 11-3), #21 Bowdoin (Deven Kanwal // 11-6, 8-11, 6-11, 11-4, 15-13), #22 Bates (Harris Ramlee // 2-11, 8-11, 11-8, 11-6, 13-11) and #24 Hobart (Sebi De La Vega // 9-11, 13-11, 3-11, 11-7, 11-8)
• Posted a 1-2 record at both the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship and the College Squash Association Team Championship
• His highest-ranked victory came against #17 MIT’s Eli Kramer at the MASC Championship, earning a 3-1 win (9-11, 11-9, 14-12, 11-2)
• Turned in a 1-2 mark at the College Squash Association Individual Championship, defeating Fordham’s Nicholas Gilman in the consolation quarters (11-6, 11-5, 11-1) ... bowed out of the tournament with a tough five-game loss to Alejandro Moncada of St. Lawrence
• One of 4 Navy players to be named to the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference All-Academic Team
• Also garnered First-Team All-Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference recognition
2021-22 // Freshman Year
• In his rookie season, Wang paced the team in the wins column with an 18-10 record ... saw action at the #2 (2-0) and #3 (16-8) positions
• Opened the year by winning nine of his first 10 matches, including an 11-2, 11-0, 11-5 win over Chicago’s Ishaan Patel for his first collegiate victory
• Earned a 3-0 sweep against Jordan Sprecher to help lead the Mids to a 5-4 win over Franklin & Marshall in the team’s final home match of the season
• Captured a five-game victory over F&M’s Teddy Eill the following weekend in the opening round of the Mid-Atlantic Squash Conference Championship
• Produced a 3-0 mark at the CSA Team Championship - 3-0 vs. Blake Roshkoff, Brown; 3-1 vs. Neal Malani, Amherst; 3-1 vs. Kerwin Teh, Tufts
• With the Mids trailing Amherst 4-3, Wang stepped onto the court knowing he was facing a must-win situation. He dropped his opening game to Neal Malani, who played #1 in the previous meeting against the Mids, but Wang went on to win the next three to set up teammate Henry Sparkman for the game-winning match.
• Capped the season by competing at the College Squash Association Individual Championship where he lost to Rochester’s Abdelrahman Lasheen in three games and Brown’s Grant Sterman in a five-gamer
High School
• 2021 graduate of The Haverford School in Haverford, Pa.
• Four-year letter winner who served as team captain his senior year
• Put together undefeated records as a freshman and senior
• Member of the Haverford School teams that placed second at Nationals in 2018 and ‘19
• Led The Haverford School to the program’s 50th Inter-Ac title and extended its MASA title run to six behind a 6-0 (4-0 in the Inter-Ac) record in 2019-20

• Son of Jim Wang and Julia Tseng
• His service assignment is Submarines (Nuclear)
• Majoring in Mathematics with Economics, he owns a 3.55 grade-point average
• Named to the Commandant’s (F2021, F2022, S2023, F2023, S2024) and Dean’s (F2021, F2023, S2024) Lists multiple times, while also earning mention on the Superintendent’s (F2022) List
• High school teammate of Matt Kang (So.), who is also a member of the Navy squash team
