High School / Personal: - A 2011 graduate of Northwest High School, where he was a member of the cross country and track and field teams
- Won the 2011 Maryland outdoor track state championship in the 3200m
- Captured the 2010 Maryland Class 4A cross country state championship with a time of 16:09
- Named team captain and MVP of the cross country and track teams as a senior at Northwest High School
- Attended the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island during the 2011-12 academic year
