Allen joined the Navy track and field staff in 2021 and works with Navy’s sprinters and hurdlers.
 
Specializing in the 110m hurdles, he’s a three-time U.S. national champion (2014, ‘16, ‘18) and a two-time Olympian. He reached the finals in both the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. His career-best time of 12.84 seconds, set in 2022, ranks as the third-fastest time in history.
 
Allen began attending the University of Oregon in 2014, competing in football and track and field. Allen worked closely with Navy Director of Track and Field / Cross Country Jamie Cook in Eugene. Under Cook’s guidance, he won the 110m hurdle at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship in 2014 and 2016 with times of 13.16 and 13.50, respectively. He also won an NCAA indoor national title in the 60m hurdles in 2016 with a time of 7.56. Additionally, Allen was a key member of Oregon’s 2014 football team that made the national championship game. He posted 41 receptions for 684 yards and seven touchdowns during the season.
 
Allen won his first U.S. championship in 2014, clocking in a time of 13.16 in the 110m hurdles. Prior to the end of his junior year at Oregon, he took first at the 2016 U.S. Olympic trials with a time of 13.03. He went on to place fifth in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
 
Continuing to work alongside coach Cook during his professional career, Allen won the 110m hurdles at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2018. He then won the 60m hurdles at the USA Indoor Track and Field Championships in 2019. He took second place in the 110m hurdles at the 2021 U.S. Olympic Trials with a time of 13.10 and placed fourth overall in the Olympics with a time of 13.14. In his three 110m hurdle world championship races, he placed ninth in 2017 (13.27), seventh in 2019 (13.70) and fourth in 2022 (13.09).
 
Allen most recently made a return to football as a wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles during the 2022-23 season.
