- Ran a 1:08.23 in the 500m at the Navy Quad Meet, placing ninth High School/Personal:
- A 2010 graduate of Bishop Heelan, where he lettered four times in track and field and three times in cross country
- High school track team won state, district, city and conference title in 2010
- Named the Sioux City Athlete of the Week during senior year
- Member of the Mayor's Youth Commission, 4-H, county council, Miracle Makers and Science Club
- Attended the Naval Academy Preparatory School during the 2010-11 academic year
- Son of Ed and Eileen Lord
- Majoring in oceanography
- Has been named to the Commandant's List twice
