2022 (Senior): Played in eight games during the season, registering eight points on six goals and a pair of assists, while adding three ejections drawn and a steal … Scored a season-high three points on a pair of occasions against Mercyhurst … In the first meeting with the Lakers, scored a pair of goals with an assist, while notching three scores for a hat trick in the second meeting during the Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Tournament … Also added a goal against McKendree, while chipping in an assist at Johns Hopkins … Following the conclusion of the water polo season, served as a practice goalkeeper for the nationally-ranked Navy women’s lacrosse team.
 
2021 (Junior): Saw action in nine games, recording six goals and an assist for seven total points to go along with seven steals and a pair of ejections drawn … Scored a season-best three goals against Johns Hopkins for first collegiate hat trick … Added a pair of scores and an assist for three points against George Washington … Also found the back of the net against Mount St. Mary’s.
 
2020 (Sophomore): Played in three of Navy’s seven games during the season, which was shortened by the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) … Scored three points on three assists, while adding a steal and two ejections drawn … Registered three assists in the final game of the season against La Salle, while also seeing action against Iona and George Washington.
 
2019 (Freshman): Played in 16 games as a freshman, scoring five goals with an assist for six total points … Scored goals against Austin College, Chapman (Gary Troyer Tournament), #17 George Washington, #16 Fordham, and #14 Bucknell … Had an assist against Iona (Princeton Invitational) … Defensively, recorded three steals and three ejections drawn … Made collegiate debut in the season opener against #2 and eventual national champion Stanford at the Navy Open.
 
High School / Personal: Participated in water polo, swimming, and lacrosse at Loyola Blakefield in Towson, Md. … Named Honorable Mention National Speedo High School All-American (2018) … Earned All-Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) Conference three times (2015, ’16, ’17) … Voted team captain in 2016 and 2017 … Helped Loyola Blakefield lacrosse to the MIAA Freshman/Sophomore Championship in 2015, leading the Dons to a 12-1 record … Served as a Kairos Prison Ministry group leader, as well as a volunteer counselor at Camp St. Vincent for homeless kids … Member of the Student Ambassadors Group … Spent the 2018-19 academic year at the Hill School in Pottstown, Pa., which is a Naval Academy Foundation school … Helped lead the Hill School to a 23-1 record and the 2018 Eastern Prep Water Polo Championship, being selected Team MVP … Son of Michael and Michele Brunner … Father, Michael, played lacrosse at CCBC before playing basketball at Albright College.
