Biography
Hickey learned to race with his grandfather on J/24s on Brookville Lake in Indiana. While on the Varsity Offshore Sailing Team, he crewed as the jib trimmer on the Navy 44 Tenacious, J/105 Allegiance, and Farr 40 Patriot. More recently, he skippered the J/105 Allegiance in the fall of his 2/C year and served as XO in addition to trimming main on the Farr 40 Ranger in the summer of his 1/C year. He has raced in the Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race, Race Week at Newport, the New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta, Block Island Race Week, and the Annapolis to Newport Race . Conor now trims main on the Navy 44 Gallant. Majoring in quantitative economics.
