Biography

Vandegrift grew up in, not on the water, swimming competitively from the age of 4 through her senior year of high school. She joined the team the summer of her plebe year and trimmed main aboard a Colgate 26. She then moved to running pit aboard a Navy 44, J 44, Melges 32, Catalina 37, and Farr 40. With VOST she has participated in the Newport to Bermuda Race, NYYC Annual Regatta, Block Island Race Week, Larchmont IOR Regatta Kennedy Cup, LA harbor Cup, Charleston SCOR.
