Naval Academy Athletics

Erlanson learned sailing basics in Newport on Rhodes 19's before plebe summer in 2015. He served as navigator and primary jib trimmer aboard NA-11 Swift in the spring and summer of 2016. He has competed in the NYYC Regatta and the NASS Spring Race. Fall 2016 Jace now competed aboard NA26 Invincible during the NASS's participation in the AYC regattas. Spring 2017 Jace was foresail trimmer aboard NA-24 Gallant and participated in the Annapolis to Newport Race and Marion Bermuda Race. Gallant was awarded 1st Out of the Chesapeake Bay Award and finished 2nd in class in the Annapolis Newport Race. Jace is now foresail trimmer aboard J-105 Allegiance, Fall 2017. Prior Marine Corps Enlisted Service prior to appointment to USNA. Majoring in physics. Hobbies include everything outdoors, photography, movies, art, scuba diving, and traveling.
