Biography
During his summer as a sophomore, Nguyen sailed on the Farr 40 Ranger as the primary jib trimmer and eventually the primary navigator where he raced in the NYYC Annual Regatta, the Annapolis to Newport race, and the Block Island Race Series. In the fall season, Nguyen sailed in the Fall JVOST Regatta series and represented Navy at the annual JVOST invitational. As a Freshman he was a jib and spinnaker trimmer on Colgates in the fall and transitioned to mainly jib trim during the spring. His boat during the spring season was the Farr 40 Ranger where he competed in the NASS Lighthouse Race. Prior to Navy, he ran cross country and swam in high school and was also the president of my school's environmental club.
