Biography

Burgess has never sailed prior to coming to the Academy. He was the foredeck of the Colgate Rainbow his plebe year and then worked the pumps on Zaraffa for the spring and summer. He sailed in the Marblehead to Halifax race where Zaraffa took first overall. He also competed in the 175th NYCC regatta and the Around Long Island Race.Â
