Barnett learned to sail at the Naval Academy aboard the Colgate 26 during her freshman year ... since then she has competed in the Annapolis to Bermuda, NYYC Race Week, Around Martha's Vineyard Race, Block Island Race Week, Annapolis to Newport, and Southern Bay Race Week aboard Navy 44s, the J-122 Dolphin and the Farr 40 Ranger ... majoring in political science.
