Biography
Hogan grew up the son of a Naval Aviator, and spent much of his time living in different duty stations across the country before finally settling in Northern Virginia. He began his sailing career here at USNA on the Colgate 26s as the jib/spin trimmer. His spring/summer of his freshman year, Nick trimmed mainsail on NA-24 Gallant, and participated in the 2018 NASS Spring Race, South Hampton Bay Race Week, and the Annapolis to Bermuda Race. During the fall of his sophomore year, he skippered the Colgate 26 Defender. This past spring/summer, Nick trimmed mainsail for NA-24 Defiance, and participated in the 2018 NASS Spring Race, and the Annapolis to Newport race. He is majoring in Naval Architecture.
