Biography
Pinch has served as a jib and spinnaker trimmer on a Colgate 26 during the fall of his plebe year. The following spring and summer, he crewed as the mastman onboard NA-11 Swift and NA-23 Defiance. While on Defiance, Ryan competed in the Annapolis to Newport Race as well as the 161st New York Yacht Club Annual Regatta and Marion to Bermuda Ocean Race. During his 3/C fall, Ryan served as the jib and spinnaker trimmer on the J105 Dreadnought. The following spring, he worked as mainsail trimmer and navigator on Ranger, racing in NYYC Race Week and Edgartown Yacht Club Race Weekend. Most recently, Ryan was the skipper of the Swan 56 Apollo. Majoring in naval architecture and marine engineering.
