Biography
Krause grew up racing lasers and 420s. He also raced his family's Flying Scot. Upon joining the team he was a bowman of a Colgate 26 in the fall of his 4/C year, spring of that year he was the bowman aboard the Farr 40 Ranger. He was the mastman on the Navy 44 Tenacious fall 3/C year and was the bowman on the TP52 Hooligan during the spring of his 3/C year. During his 2/C year he served as the Bowman aboard the Navy 44 Integrity during the fall and the XO and Bowman on Gallant during the spring and summer. Zach has competed in many events including Annapolis to Newport Races, NYYC Race Week, NYYC Annual Regatta, Around Long Island Race, Block Island Race Week, Storm Try Sail Collegiate Offshore Championship, Marion to Bermuda Race, the McMillian Cup, and the Kennedy Cup as a member of the Navy team.
