Biography

SOPHOMORE (2018-19): Enger appeared in all 13 competitions for Navy … Made 13 starts in smallbore and six in air rifle … Finished the season averaging 575.4 in smallbore … He reached his season-best in smallbore on four different occasions after shooting a 579 against Kentucky, North Carolina State, West Virginia and in the NCAA Qualifying Match against John Jay … In air rifle, Enger averaged 586.3 for the season and fired a career-best of 592 against Ole Miss … Finished the year with an aggregate average of 1,161.7 and had a season-best against of 1,167 points against Kentucky … Making his first appearance in the NCAA Championship, Enger shot a 573 in smallbore and a 588 in air rifle to finish with a 1,161 and helping Navy finish seventh overall

FRESHMAN (2017-18): During his freshman campaign, Enger competed in 13 matches for the Midshipmen, where he took part in smallbore and air rifle in each appearance … posted an average 584.6 in air rifle, while notching a 575.4 average in smallbore … his season-best score in air rifle came at the John Jay – NCAA Qualifier with a mark of 590 on Feb. 17 … in smallbore his season-high came in his final appearance of the season with a 585 on Feb. 24 and Feb. 25 at the GARC Championships.

PRIOR TO NAVY: Competed with the Walla Walla JROTC rifle team all four years of high school … attended the Junior Olympics for air rifle from 2014 through 2017; also competed in the smallbore competition at the 2017 Junior Olympics … Came in eighth at 2016 National JO Air Rifle competition … Earned 2016 ELEY High School All-American Air Rifle status (one of 10 nationally) … 2015 JROTC Precision Air Rifle Individual Champion at the National Championship and led Walla Walla to the Overall Army Precision team title … Walla Walla JROTC repeated as national champs in 2016 … Served as team captain for senior season.

PERSONAL: Son of Mike and Debra … mother Debra (nee) Sinclair shot for the United States in the 1992 Summer Olympics and finished in 11th place in Women’s 10-meter Air Rifle event; she shot collegiately at the University of Alaska … born in Ketchikan, Alaska now calls Walla Walla, Wash. home … participated in National Honor Society at WWHS … teammate on the Walla Walla JROTC rifle with Army’s Madeline Erikson ’20 and Nathan Brewer ‘19, and Nevada’s Sarah Jameson ‘18
