SENIOR (2020-21): Knollinger competed 10 times for the Midshipmen during the year where he took part in air rifle in each of his appearances and competed in smallbore nine times … Over his air rifle appearances he finished with an average of 584.1 with his season and career-high coming against Kentucky on Nov. 21 with a 589 … Knollinger also posted a career-best in overall scoring against Kentucky with a 1,168 en route to an average of 1155.3 … In smallbore, Knollinger finished with a season average of 571.2 with a season-high of 579 in the discipline coming against Kentucky

JUNIOR (2019-20): Knollinger competed in 13 of Navy’s 14 competitions as a junior and averaged 1,149.4 for the season … He finished with a smallbore season average of 565.7 and an air rifle average of 583.6 … Knollinger finished with a season-high of 571 in smallbore after hitting that mark on Sept. 28 against TCU and VMI and then again on Oct. 27 against The Citadel … In air rifle, he posted a career-high in back-to-back events after hitting a 588 against Nebraska on Jan. 19 and again on Feb. 1 against Army in Navy’s Star Match victory.

SOPHOMORE (2018-19): As a sophomore, he shot seven times for Navy … His best showing of the year was at the President’s Trophy Match where he finished a 570 in smallbore, 583 in air rifle and total score of 1,153, all of which were season highs … Knollinger matches his season high of 583 in air rifle against John Jay in the NCAA Qualifying Match and then to start the year in a tri-match against TCU and VMI … He averaged 581.1 in air rifle and 566.4 in smallbore to average 1,147.8 for the season

FRESHMAN (2017-18): As a freshman shooter, Knollinger took part in 13 matches for Navy and took part in both smallbore and air rifle in all 13 … he recorded an average of 582.0 in air rifle during his first collegiate season and averaged 570.5 in smallbore … on Nov. 11 against Akron, he finished with a season-high of 588 in air rifle and then hit his season-best in smallbore against Ole Miss on Jan. 28 with a 581.

PRIOR TO NAVY: Two-sport athlete during his time at Wheeling Park High School … four-year member of WPHS’ hockey team as a center forward … shot with the Frazier Simplex Rifle Club in Washington, Pa. … named his hockey squad’s assistant captain during the 2016 season and captain as a senior in 2017

PERSONAL: Son of Scott and Barbara … Senior Class President at Wheeling Park HS … President of Patriots Helping Patriots, a student-led organization that helps local veterans in northern West Virginia … member of National Honor Society … participated with the Civil Air Patrol program … shot with the Frazier Simplex Rifle Club with Army’s Matt Lovre ‘21 … Named to the Naval Academy's Commandant's List once.
