Tremba joined the staff at Navy in June of 2020 as an assistant coach. Beginning her fifth season with the Mids in 2024-25, Tremba, a four-year standout at William & Mary, came to Annapolis after a stint as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Prior to the 2023-24 season, Tremba was promoted as the recruiting coordinator for the program.
In her first season with the Mids in 2020-21, Tremba helped guide the team to a 5-7 record in a COVID-impacted campaign. After a slow start to the disjointed season, Navy won five Patriot League contests and finish the regular season ranked fourth in the conference. Defensively, the Mids finished third in points allowed and field goal percentage against. Individually, Jennifer Coleman (Second Team) and Sophie Gatzounas (Third Team) were honored on the All-Patriot League Team at the conclusion of the season.
Working with Navy’s guards throughout the 2021-22 season, senior Jennifer Coleman had a year for the record book under Tremba’s tutelage as she broke the single-season scoring (689 points), rebounding (333) and minutes played (1,178) marks and was rewarded with an AP Division I Honorable Mention All-American nod and the honor of 2022 Patriot League Defensive Player of the Year.
Entrusted with acclimating an eight-women freshmen class into the collegiate game in 2022-23, Tremba helped guide Maren Louridas to a spot on the Patriot League All-Rookie Team after averaging 11.6 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists over 33.9 minutes per game. The freshman guard started and played in every game for the Mids in 2022-23. As a unit, Navy’s Class of 2026 contributed 44.0 percent of the scoring, 48.0 percent of the rebounding, 45.5 percent of the assists and 44.4 of the minutes during the 2022-23 season.
Tremba’s skill with Navy’s young players and specifically guards showed through in 2023-24 as the newcomer duo of Zanai Barnett-Gay and Kyah Smith became the first pair of Midshipmen to earn spots on the Patriot League All-Rookie Team since 2000-01. In Barnett-Gay’s case she was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Year, as well as to the All-Patriot League First Team after averaging 18.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals over 34.6 minutes per game. Smith was second on the team with 12.8 points per game, though she was first with 3.5 assists and 1.5 three-pointers per contest.
Navy is the second stop in Tremba’s young coaching career as she has spent the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons on the bench with the Cougars of Chatham University. Competing in the Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC), the Cougars improved from 12 wins in 2018-19 to a program-best 15-11 in 2019-20. During this most recent campaign, Tremba mentored three All-PAC award winners, including Riley D’Angelo, who was the 2019-20 PAC Newcomer of the Year. Additionally, Emily Ondo was named to the All-PAC First Team, while Kaitlyn Fertig garnered an All-PAC Honorable Mention nod. Ondo and Fertig ranked as the PAC’s first and third overall leading scorers. As a program in 2018-19, Chatham was the NCAA Division III leader in fewest turnovers per game (11.7) before coming back in 2019-20 as one of the best three-point shooting teams with 9.5 makes per game, an average that ranked tenth overall.
In addition to her coaching at Chatham, Tremba spent the summer of 2019 as an assistant coach with the Fairfax Stars 16U EYBL Team.
As an intercollegiate student-athlete Tremba had a stellar four-year run at William & Mary as she led the Tribe in scoring all four seasons in Williamsburg. All-time, she is the third highest scorer in program history with 1,595 points over a program record 4,023 minutes played. Additionally, she ranks second in three-pointers made (284), fifth in assists (339), seventh in free throws made (311) and tenth in steals (200). For her excellence on the court, Tremba earned postseason accolades after all four seasons starting with the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) Rookie of the Year award in 2013-14. The next two seasons, the guard was selected to the All-CAA Third Team before reaching All-CAA Second Team status as a senior in 2016-17. The Virginia sports information directors organization (VaSID) recognized her on the VaSID All-State Second Team after her junior and senior campaigns. Additionally, Tremba was named to the 2015-16 and 2016-17 CAA All-Academic Teams and CAA All-Tournament Team following the 2017 event.
After her playing career and before joining the staff at Chatham, Tremba worked as a financial analyst at ADP in Norfolk, Virginia.
Tremba is a native of Vienna, Virginia and was a three-time state champion at Paul VI High School. She graduated from William & Mary with a degree in finance in 2017 before obtaining her MBA from Chatham University in May of 2020.
