• Posted two course-record times as she captured the North Carolina cross country state championship in 2006 and `07; was the first Topsail High School state champion in any sport
• Finished in second place by less than one second in the 2009 cross country state championships
• Helped lead the cross country team to its first team state championship in 2007
• Four-time regional cross country champion
• Four-time cross country all-state selection and four-time cross country team MVP
• Named cross country team captain as a senior
• Part of the 2007 track and field team that won the state championship as she helped the 3200-meter relay team to a third-place finish; also took third in the 1600-meter and the 3200-meter runs
• Recipient of the 2008 THS & USMC Distinguished Athlete Award
