• High School / Personal: A 2020 graduate of Wake Forest High School in Wake Forest, N.C., Haywood attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2020-21 academic year ... twice suffered an ACL tear, including seven games into his senior year ... earned NAC-6 First-Team All-America recognition as a junior ... rushed for better than 2,000 yards (2,047) at Wake Forest HS, including 1,222 yards (8.8/carry) on 139 carries as a junior and 809 yards (11.1/carry) on 73 carries as a senior ... scored 33 touchdowns over his career, including 30 rushing TDs ... guided Wake Forest HS to back-to-back state titles in 2017 and ‘18 ... served as team captain his senior year ... also received offers from Army and East Carolina ... son of Maurice and Rhonda Haywood ... majoring in political science.
