Maddie Fischer

Maddie Fischer begins her fourth season as an assistant coach for the Navy volleyball team in the fall of 2021.
 
Fischer was part of the 2018 Navy program that advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time as a Division I program.  The Mids tallied a 23-9 record to tie the school’s Division I record for career wins, shared the regular season title in the Patriot League with a 13-3 record and won the Patriot League Tournament for the first time.
 
In 2019, Navy posted an overall record of 17-12, finished in a tie for third place in the league with an 11-5 record and advanced to the semifinal round of the league tournament.  The Mids tied for third place in the 20201 season with a 4-1 record.
 
Fischer played for Navy head coach Paco Labrador at Wittenberg where she earned AVCA All-America honors as both a junior (2016, first team) and senior (2017, honorable mention) and was tabbed as the 2017 North Coast Athletic Conference Player of the Year.  One of the captains of the team as a senior, she was part of Wittenberg squads that compiled an overall record of 107-16 and reached the championship match of the NCAA (Division III) Tournament in both 2015 and ’17.
 
Fischer additionally served as the game day operations manager for the Wittenberg men’s volleyball team and assisted with operations for the women’s volleyball summer youth camp.  The Minerva, Ohio, native graduated from Wittenberg in 2018 with a degree in biology.
