Naval Academy Athletics

• Faunce in 2016-17 (Jr.):  Earned victories in his only two matches of the season, including a 9-1 major decision over Delaware Valley’s Chris Yocum.

• 2015-16 (So.):  Wrestled at heavyweight and made his only appearance at the Edinboro Open where he went 0-2.

• 2014-15 (Fr.):  Made his lone tournament appearance at the Shorty Hitchcock Open where he posted a 2-1 record ... defeated American’s Tommy Bennett by major decision (10-0) for his first collegiate victory.

• High School: A 2013 graduate of Lake Oswego High School in Lake Oswego, Ore., Faunce attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2013-14 academic year ... was a two-sport athlete who earned letters in football (3) and wrestling (4) ... a three-time region championship who won an individual state title as a senior ... he became Lake Oswego’s first state champion since 1976 ... placed second at the state championship his junior year ... garnered All-State (Ore.) honors as a sophomore ... served as wrestling team captain four years ... earned First-Team All-State honors as a defensive lineman his junior and senior years ... member of the football teams that won Oregon State Championships in 2001 and ‘12 ... part of the Team Oregon squad that won the Junior Greco World Dual Championship in 2012 and ‘13.

• Personal: Son of Brian and Lori Faunce ... majoring in History ... stands 359th in Military Order of Merit among his 1,088 classmates.
