2019-20 // Junior Year

• Navy’s starter at 141 pounds, he paced the Mids with a 25-9 record that included a 9-5 dual mark
• Closed out the year winning his last nine matches which dates back to Feb. 1
• Won three individual titles during the season, including the EIWA Championship
• Earned his first NCAA Championship after winning the conference title, however, the tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic
• Went 4-0 in what was his second appearance at the EIWA Championship, defeating third-seeded Matt Kazimir of Columbia by a 3-1 decision in the finals
• Trybus is Navy’s first 141-pound EIWA Champion since Mark Conley won back-to-back crowns in 2001 and ‘02
• Won a pair of matches, including a 5-1 decision in the finals against Air Force’s Lenny Petersen, to win the All-Academy Championship
• Posted a 5-0 record, including a 4-2 victory in the championship against West Virginia’s Jeffery Boyd, to claim the title at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial
• Among his nine dual victories was his 3-1 decision in sudden victory over Army’s Corey Shie
• After dropping a tough 7-5 decision against American’s Sal Profaci, he won his final five dual matches

2018-19 // Sophomore Year
• Posted a 13-4 record, wrestling all but one match (141) at 133 pounds
• Ended the season on an eight-match winning streak that saw him win the Franklin & Marshall Tournament with a 4-2 decision over Lock Haven’s Cole Manley in the finals, as well as a title at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial with a 16-5 major decision over former Navy teammate Anthony Duca
• Closed out the year with a 4-2 decision in the second sudden victory period against Drexel’s Nick Widmann in dual action

2017-18 // Freshman Year
• Navy’s starting 133-pounder as a rookie, he posted a 15-14 record including a 6-4 mark in dual action
• Earned a 15-3 major decision in dual action over Delaware Valley’s Brenden Velez for his first collegiate victory
• Dropped a 5-2 decision to Central Michigan’s Drew Marten to finish second in the freshman/sophomore division of the Eastern Michigan Open
• Placed second at the All-Academy Championship
• Earned three consecutive dual victories over Old Dominion, George Mason and Army heading into the EIWA Championship
• Posted a 1-2 mark at the conference championship in what was his first appearance

High School
• 2016 graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore, Md.
• Lettered in wrestling a total of four years - two at Bohemia Manor HS in Chesapeake City, Md. and two at Mount Saint Joseph
• Three-time Maryland state place winner, winning the title in 2016 and placing second in 2015
• Earned Cadet Greco Fargo All-America honors and was a Prep Nationals All-American
• Beast of the East place winner
• Three-time captain of the wrestling team
• High school teammate of Navy wrestlers Paul Warner (So) and Ethan Stern (Fr)

• Has earned Commandant’s (F2017, S2018, S2019, S2020, F2020) and Dean’s (S2020, F2020) List accolades multiple times
• Attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2016-17 academic year
• Twin brother, Kyle, is also a senior at the Naval Academy and a member of the wrestling program
• Brother, Jacob, wrestled at Maryland
