• High School: A 2014 graduate of Saint Paul Central High School in St. Paul, Minn., Villalva Lijo lettered four years in wrestling ... led the team to back-to-back conference titles in 2013 and '14 and won an individual title his senior year ... two-time wrestling team captain.

• Personal: Son of Edmund Lijo and Lydia Villalva Lijo ... father wrestled at Columbia (1978-80) ... majoring in Electrical Engineering, he owns a 3.46 grade-point average ... has been named to the Commandant's List five times, while also earning Superintendent's List and Dean's List mention once each ... stands 334th in Overall Order of Merit, 361st in Academic Order of Merit and 434th in Military Order of Merit.
