2017, ‘18, '19 NCAA Qualifier

• Prince in 2018-19 (Jr.): One of six Navy wrestlers to reach 20 wins, Prince turned in a 22-11 mark at 149 pounds and qualified for the NCAA Championship for the third time in his career ... also turned in a 4-3 mark in dual action ... placed in fourth tournaments - eighth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational, seventh at the Southern Scuffle, first at the All-Academy Championship and second at the EIWA Championship ... defeated Zach Krause of Brown (5-0) and Army's PJ Ogunsanya (1-0) to set up a semifinal matchup against longtime rival Matt Kolodzik of Princeton at the EIWA Championship ... Prince upset top-seeded Kolodzik, 5-4, to advance to the finals where he would lose a 3-1 decision in sudden victory to second-seeded Anthony Artalona of Penn ... produced a 3-2 record at the NCAA Championship, coming up just a win shy of garnering All-America honors ... lost to Northern Iowa's Max Thomsen, 9-8, in the NCAA Tournament opener before battling back with wins over Northwestern's Shane Oster (11-5), Oklahoma's Davion Jeffries (13-2) and NC State's Justin Oliver (8-6) ... dropped out of the tournament with a 9-4 loss to third-seeded Mitch Finesilver of Duke ... turned in a 5-8 record against nationally-ranked foes.

• 2017-18 (So.): Pushed up to 149 pounds where he posted a 20-6 record, including a 1-1 mark ... suffered a knee injury during the first two months of competition before battling team captain Corey Wilding for the starting 149 position ... made his first appearance of the season at the Southern Scuffle where he topped 19th-ranked Steve Krivus of Virginia to place third ... followed up by going 5-0 to win the individual crown at the Shorty Hitchcock Memorial ... took sixth at the Edinboro Open ... dropped an 8-6 decision to Lehigh’s Cortlandt Schuyler in his first dual appearance of the season ... pinned (4:33) Army’s Will Lucie in the annual Star Match ... recorded a 16-1 tech fall over 19th-ranked and third-seeded Cortlandt Schuyler at the EIWA Championship to earn an automatic berth to the NCAA Championship, his second in as many years ... his only loss at the EIWA Championship was to eventual champion and All-American Matt Kolodzik of Princeton, 8-2 ... dropped both matches at the NCAA Championship.

• 2016-17 (Fr.): Enjoyed a successful freshman campaign (141 pounds) that saw him put together a 27-9 record that featured an undefeated dual season (7-0) and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship ... the 27 wins are the most by a Navy freshman since Luke Rebertus won 36 matches in 2008-09 ... earned a 19-3 victory over Delaware Valley’s Tim Ambacher in his first collegiate match ... also earned dual wins over Johns Hopkins’ Lucas Escobar (1:22), Maryland’s Jhared Simmons (19-1), Lehigh’s Randy Cruz (ranked #9 nationally, 7-5), Duke’s Zach Finesilver (15-4), George Mason’s Tejon Anthony (4-3) and Army’s Logan Everett (7-5) ... wrestled in five tournaments, placing in three ... took sixth at the Harold Nichols Open after bowing out with an injury ... came back the following week to take second at the Navy Classic ... dropped an 8-1 decision to Bucknell’s Tyler Smith in the championship bout ... competed at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational and the Southern Scuffle, but did not place ... swept his competition at the All-Academy Championship, including a 15-2 major decision over 16th-ranked Logan Everett of Army in the finals to win his first collegiate individual title ... named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the All-Academy Championship and received the award for most wins by fall ... put together a 4-1 record in his first appearance at the EIWA Championship ... dropped a 3-1 decision in the semifinals to top-seeded and fourth-ranked Matt Kolodzik of Princeton who would go on to win the title ... bounced back to defeat third-seeded and 17th-ranked Tyler Smith of Bucknell, 6-4 SV, for third place ... he earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship by way of his placement at the EIWA Championship ... posted a 2-2 mark in his debut at the NCAA Championship, opening with a 7-3 win over Cal Poly’s Colton Schilling ... also topped 17th-ranked Ronnie Perry of Lock Haven.

• High School: A 2015 graduate of Palm Harbor University High School in Palm Harbor, Fla., Prince attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2015-16 academic year ... owned a 254-4 career record, including a combined 137-0 mark his junior and senior seasons ...closed out his high school career riding a 185-match winning streak ... a four-time district champion, he became only the third wrestler to win the country title four times ... was also a three-time region champion and four-time finalist ... a four-time Florida State Championship finalist, he won the state crown three times ... a three-time Pinellas County Best Wrestler of the Year selection by the Tampa Bay Times ... named the 2014-15 Pinellas County Schools Male Athlete of the Year ... named Win Magazine’s Best in the State of Florida in 2014 and ‘15 ... earned ASICS Honorable Mention All-America honors in 2014 and ‘15 ... earned First-Team All-America honors by WIN Magazine and USA Today in 2015 ... represented Team USA in the Dapper Dan Classic.

• Personal: Son of Mark Prince Jr. and Amy Russo ... twin brother, Connor, is also a junior at the Naval Academy and is a member of the wrestling team ... father wrestled at Hampton Sydney ... also considered attending NC State, Virginia and Purdue ... majoring in Quantitative Economics.
