• Long in 2016-17 (Fr.):  Turned in a 3-3 record at the East Stroudsburg Open and the Navy Classic ... earned his first collegiate victory by way of a 15-0 tech fall over Kutztown’s Michael Davis ... went on to place fourth at the East Stroudsburg Open.

• High School: A 2015 graduate of Holy Cross Academy in Riverside, N.J., Long attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 205-16 academic year ... a four-year wrestling letterwinner, he placed fourth at the New Jersey State Championship his senior year ... won back-to-back region titles his junior and senior years ... placed second at the Beast of the East Championship his senior year ... member of the National Honor Society.
