• Trybus in 2018-19 (So.): Made his only appearance of the season at the Southern Scuffle where he suffered a season-ending injury.
• 2017-18 (Fr.): Turned in a 6-4 record, including an 0-1 mark in dual action ... earned his first collegiate victory by way of a medical forfeit at the Ursinus Fall Brawl ... won his first match by way of result in a 4-2 decision over Gettysburg’s Robert Garnett at the Fall Brawl ... put together a 4-0 record, including a 5-3 victory over Delaware Valley’s Tim Ambacher, to win the Fall Brawl title ... also competed but did not place at the Navy Classic and Shorty Hitchcock Memorial.
• High School: A 2016 graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School in Baltimore, Md., Trybus attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2016-17 academic year ... lettered in wrestling a total of four years - two at Bohemia Manor HS in Chesapeake City, Md. and two at Mount Saint Joseph ... two-time Maryland state placewinner, who took third in 2015 ... earned Cadet Greco Fargo All-America honors and was a Prep Nationals All-American ... Beast of the East placewinner ... served as team captain his senior year.
• Personal: Son of John and Tammy Trybus ... twin brother, Cody, is also a sophomore at the Naval Academy and a member of the wrestling program ... brother, Jacob, wrestled at Maryland ... majoring in Quantitative Economics, he owns a 3.31 grade-point average ... he has been named to the Commandant’s List three times, while earning Dean’s List mention once.
