Ben Barton is in his first year as Director of Operations for Navy wrestling. Barton comes to Navy from Rudis Wrestling Apparel, where he worked for the past year.
"I am excited for this new opportunity and I'm ready to get after it," said Barton. "Go Navy! Beat Army!!"
Barton was an assistant coach at Lycoming College during the 2022-23 campaign.
Barton was a three-time NCAA Division I qualifier as a wrestler going twice while he was at Campbell and once at Lock Haven.
Barton helped lead the Camels to Southern Conference titles in 2017, 2019, 2020 and 2021, winning the Southern Conference title at 157 pounds in 2019 to earn his first bid to the NCAA Tournament and was an at-large qualifier in 2021.
Barton continued his success at Lock Haven while working on his master's degree in sports administration, helping the Bald Eagles win the 2022 MAC Championship, claiming the 157-pound championship and earning his third trip to the NCAA Championship.
A Louisville, Ky., native, Barton earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Campbell University in 2020.
