Cameron Harrell

Cameron Harrell joined the Navy wrestling staff as Director of Operations in July of 2023.
 
Harrell wrestled for the Navy Wrestling Club RTC team during the 2022-23 season and helped train Mids who compete at 141, 149, 157 and 165 pounds. Harrell worked primarily with Josh Koderhandt (141), Kaemen Smith (149), Andrew Cerniglia (157) and Val Park (165).
 
Harrell has also assisted at wrestling camps for Navy, the University of Virginia and the Beat The Streets- Baltimore Wrestling/STEM Program.
 
Harrell attended Broadneck High School in Annapolis for two years. He claimed the 120-pound 4A-3A State Championship his freshman year and the 132-pound state title during his sophomore campaign to become Broadneck’s first two-time state champion.
 
Harrell finished his high school career at McDonogh School and won the MIS Championship at 152 pounds in 2015 and placed second the year prior at 145 pounds. Additionally, he was a two-time National Prep Finalist (2014, ‘15) and placed third at the Beast of the East tournament in 2014. During his senior season at McDonogh, Harrell was ranked No. 4 nationally at 152 pounds by Flowrestling and InterMat.
 
Harrell continued his wrestling career at the University of Virginia and graduated with a bachelor's degree in African American studies in 2019. He also worked as an intern for the Virginia Athletics Media Department as a graphic designer and photographer.
 
Harrell resides in his hometown of Arnold, Md.
