Biography

2003-04: Led the Mids with a 28-9 overall record and an 11-4 mark in dual meets finished in fourth place at the EIWA Championships ... recipient of Navy[apos]s Ray Swartz Award for the most falls in the least amount of time, after accumulating eight wins by fall ... did not lose back-to-back matches all season ... picked up three tournament titles this season, winning the 197 pound weight class at the Central New Jersey Open, the Sunshine Open and the All-Academy Championships ... pinned three-straight opponents on Feb. 7 at the American Quad-Meet ... won 10 of his last 13 bouts and 17 of his last 22 (dating back to the Sunshine Open).

2002-03: Registered a career-high 12 wins en route to a 12-3 overall mark in the 184-pound weight class ... injured sidelined him for much of the second half of the season ... won three of his-four matches on Navy[apos]s season-opening trip to California ... pinned Cote Keim in the championship match of the freshmen/sophomore division at the Central New Jersey Open ... after falling in his opening match of the Sunshine Open, he reeled off five-straight wins to finish third overall ... capped the tournament by pinning Purdue[apos]s Barry Jackson in 45 seconds in the third-place match ... helped Navy defeat N.C. State with a 10-7 decision over Jon Godwin ... won three matches by fall.

2001-02: Posted an aggressive 7-10 record in the 184-pound weight class ... won six of his seven matches by pinfall ... placed second at the season-opening Central New Jersey Open ... battled his way to a fourth-place finish at the Navy Classic ... pinned East Stroudsburg[apos]s Shawn Smith to win his first-career dual match.

Personal: Three-year letterwinner at Berlin Brothersvalley High School in Berlin, Pa. ... won the 171-pound weight class at the 2001 Pennsylvania State Championship and finished the season with a 32-2 record ... named a CBS All-Star and earned all-state honors in 2000 and [apos]01 ... won the county, district and regional championship in 2001 ... two-time team captain ...
