Alex Lumb serves as an Assistant A.D. for Sports Information with the NAAA. He is the primary media contact for the women's basketball, women's soccer, gymnastics and rowing programs. During his time at Navy, he's been a part of 19 NCAA Tournament berths by his programs (8-Women's Rowing, 8-Gymnastics, 2-Women's Soccer, 1-Baseball).
Prior to Navy, Lumb was a three-year member of the Marist College Sports Information Department from 2010-2013. His teams earned national exposure with NCAA Tournament bids in softball, women's soccer and women's tennis; as the contact with the men's basketball program, his teams participated in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament in 2011 and Old Spice Classic in 2012.
Outside of his work with Marist College, Lumb has been a member of the Harwich Mariners organization since 2007, including eleven as Assistant General Manager, 2011-2021. During his time with the Mariners, the team have won two league championships in the Cape Cod Baseball League, 2008 and 2011. Prior to the 2022 season he was elevated to General Manager of the organization. Following the 2022 campaign, Lumb was recognized as the CCBL Executive of the Year. Additionally, he is an active member of the CCBL Hall of Fame committee.
A Staatsburg, New York native, Lumb earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from Old Dominion University. He currently resides in Annapolis with his wife Brooke and dog Louie.
