Cho returned to Navy as the Director of Operations in September of 2026. She rejoined the Mids after previously serving on the staff during Coach Tim Taylor’s inaugural season in 2020-21 as the Director of Operations and Recruiting before leaving to pursue opportunities in the private sector.
Prior to coming aboard at Navy, Cho served in several roles with the University of Virginia Women’s Basketball program from 2013-20, most recently as the program’s Director of Operations from 2018-20. In that role, she oversaw the day-to-day operational and administrative functions of the program, including budget management, office administration, team scheduling and travel, and coordination with athletic department leadership and university departments. She also played a key role in supporting student-athlete wellness and development initiatives.
Cho first joined Virginia Women’s Basketball as an undergraduate student manager in 2013 and continued with the program as a graduate assistant from 2017-18. During her time with the Cavaliers, the program advanced to the 2017 WNIT and 2018 NCAA Tournament. In addition to serving as head student manager, Cho worked alongside Virginia’s video coordinator, assisting with scouting footage, film breakdown, and film exchange. She was the recipient of the 2017 Bob Goodman Memorial Award, which recognizes outstanding service to the Virginia Athletics Department and is selected by the department’s head coaches.
Cho is the daughter of a retired U.S. Navy veteran. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia in 2017, majoring in Foreign Affairs and Media Studies with a concentration in Media Policy and Ethics. She earned her master’s degree in Educational Psychology – Social Foundations from Virginia in 2018.
