Joshua Evans, MS, LAT, ATC, serves as the Athletic Trainer for Navy's basketball teams.

Prior to coming to Annapolis, Evans spent over four years working at three levels of athletics; high school, collegiate and professional. After graduating from the University of Delaware in May of 2015, he was an outreach certified athletic trainer for ATI Physical Therapy in Downingtown, Pa. before attending the University of Tennessee for his graduate studies. While in Knoxville, Evans was a certified graduate assistant athletic trainer and was responsible for the coverage and care for the football team during the preseason training camp and home games, as well as providing all of the medical coverage for the Volunteers' men's tennis team. Most recently, he worked in the professional ranks with the Atlanta Falcons in a seasonal position during the 2018 season before serving as a certified athletic trainer for the Orlando Apollos of the AAF for the team's 2019 spring campaign. He transitioned back into the NFL with a year-long position with the Washington Redskins beginning in April of 2019.

Evans, a native of Newark, Delaware, earned his Master of Science degree in Sports Management from the University of Tennessee in 2018 and his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Delaware in 2015. In addition to his above stated experiences, Evans performed undergrad internships with the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Flyers, while at UD.

He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a board certified athletic trainer, as well as certified in sound assisted soft tissue mobilization and is a KAATSU specialist.
