Joined Naval Academy Athletic Association: July 2025
Tim Nolan joined the Navy staff in July 2025, where he serves as the Director of Multimedia.
He is the primary storyteller, on-camera talent and video content creator for Navy’s 36 varsity athletic programs. Nolan produces, reports and develops stories for Navy’s website and social media accounts, while also strategizing and executing video and social initiatives for other departments within NAAA.
Nolan has also been a contributing play-by-play announcer and color commentator to Navy Athletics’ ESPN+ and YouTube broadcasts since September 2023.
Prior to Navy, Nolan was the Assistant Sports Director for three years at WBOC-TV in Salisbury, Md., serving as a broadcaster, reporter and anchor for the Delmarva Sports Network. This included handling play-by-play duties for select games of the MiLB’s Delmarva Shorebirds and the Maryland Eastern Shore basketball teams, as well hosting DSN’s nightly shows and composing feature stories.
Additionally, Nolan spent part of the 2022 season as a broadcast assistant for the MiLB’s Hartford Yard Goats.
A 2022 graduate of Syracuse University, Nolan earned his bachelor’s degree in broadcast & digital journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. During his time at Syracuse, he worked on the staffs of WAER-88.3 FM and the Daily Orange while also broadcasting games for the ACC Network.
