Navy's Delaney Wins Pole Vault at IC4A Championship

Navy team captain Tom Delaney won the pole vault competition to highlight day three of the IC4A/ECAC Track and Field Championship, being held this weekend in Princeton, N.J.

Delaney (Sr., Philadelphia, Pa.) won the pole vault with a jump of 15-11.00. Navy's Frank Durram (So., Mt. Pleasant, Texas) also scored points for the Midshipmen in the event by placing fourth with a jump of 15-05.00. Bob Koroly (Sr., Drexel, Pa.) failed to clear a height in the pole vault.

Navy's 4x800-meter relay team placed 17th in Saturday's trials, finishing with a time of 7:42.74. In the long jump, Adriel Morgan (Fr., Portage, Mich.) failed to record a jump.

On the women's side, Stephanie Patterson (So., Mayville, Mich.) placed 37th in Friday night's 10,000-meter run with a time of 37:47.75. Also, Navy's 4x400-meter relay team comprised of Kacee Jossis (So., Boise, Idaho), Amy Stokes (Jr., Fort Washington, Md.), Eva Tukarski (Fr., Crofton, Md.) and Tineisha Davis (Fr., Madisonville, Ky.) placed 16th in Saturday's trials, finishing with a time of 3:51.77. Navy's 4x100-meter relay team, however, was disqualified during its trial heat.

Saturday's scheduled pole vault competition featuring Navy's Amanda Hasenauer (Jr., Sebastian, Fla.) was postponed to Sunday
