ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy junior Danielle Still (Lawnside, N.J.) finished fourth in the pentathlon with 3,263 points as the Midshipmen tallied five points to end Friday in third-place at the 2006 Patriot League Indoor Track and Field Championship hosted by Navy in Halsey Field House.
Bucknell picked up 14 points, followed by Lehigh's 10 points, Navy's five points and Army's two points.
Still won two of the five pentathlon events on Friday. The junior topped the field in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.29 seconds, followed by a first-place toss of 12.53 meters in the shot put.
Sophomore Michelle Bostic (Rockwell, Texas) accounted Navy's fifth-point with her sixth-place tally of 3,134 points. Bostic finished behind Still in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 8.48 seconds and concluded the day with a 2:26.60 showing in the 800-meter run.
The women's portion of the Patriot League Championship resumes tomorrow with the field events beginning at 11 a.m. and track events getting underway at 1 p.m. One-day admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for Midshipmen, while all-championship tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children and free for Midshipmen. Tickets for the action on Saturday and Sunday can be purchased at the gate inside the main entrance of Halsey Field House.
