ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -- Kaleo Kina tallied 17 points, eight rebounds and six assists to lead Navy to a 73-59 win over Towson Thursday night.

Navy (3-6) snapped a three-game losing streak and never trailed in a game that was tied just twice.

Towson trailed 51-45 with 10:30 to play, but Navy ran off a 10-0 run to put the Tigers away for good.

Adam Teague added 12 points on four second-half 3-pointers and hit back-to-back threes to give Navy its first double-digit lead at 51-41. Then, after Towson closed to within six, Mark Veazey scored twice inside for the Mids to start the 10-0 run.

Teague, who also had eight rebounds and five assists, hit two more 3-pointers later in the half to keep Navy's lead in double-digits.

Navy's leading scorer Greg Sprink was held to 4 points, 15 below his season-average, but took just four shots.

Towson's Tony Durant had a career-high 13 points. Junior Hairston posted his fifth double-double in six games with 10 points and 13 rebounds, 11 on defense. Rocky Coleman added 12 points.

Navy outrebounded Towson 39-31 and shot 50.9 percent from the floor, including 40 percent on three-pointers. The Mids had 22 assists on their 28 baskets.

Towson made just 34.5 percent from the floor and only 3 of 14 three-point tries.

Navy led 34-29 at the half. They scored seven unanswered points for a 13-5 lead just under six minutes into the game.

Towson fell behind 19-10, but tied it on a 12-3 run as Junior Hairston and Tony Durant scored four points each.

Kina put the Mids back in front, hitting a three with 4:15 left as the Mids outscored Towson 12-7 the rest of the half.

The two in-state schools had not met since November 1996 with Navy not having won since 1990.
