ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's basketball team finished the Patriot League regular season with a 4-10 record, tying for sixth in the league with Army. However, thanks to the league's tiebreaking procedures, the Mids will be the seventh seed in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament. Navy will enter Wednesday's first round with a 14-15 overall record.

Navy will likely play No. 2 seed Bucknell, although official pairings won't be released until Monday morning. Bucknell and Holy Cross shared the regular-season title with a 13-1 league mark, with both team beating each other. However, Holy Cross will likely earn the No. 1 seed, thanks to a higher RPI. According to the league's published tiebreaker procedure, Monday's Collegiate Basketball News RPI report (located at RPIRatings.com) will be used to determine the top seed. As of Sunday morning, Holy Cross was ranked No. 69, while Bucknell was 97th.

Bucknell swept Navy this year and has won five meetings in a row against the Midshipmen. In the league opener on Jan. 6, Bucknell held off every Navy charge in the second half for a 59-51 victory at Sojka Pavilion. On Feb. 2 in Alumni Hall, the Bison used an early second-half run to break the game open and top the Mids, 78-63.

Other probable quarterfinal matchups are (8) Lafayette at (1) Holy Cross, (6) Army at (3) Lehigh and (5) Colgate at (4) American. The quarterfinal winners will meet in the semifinals on Sunday, March 4, at campus sites.
