Navy Takes Fourth Straight with 73-55 Win over Longwood

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) -Greg Sprink had 21 points and 11 rebounds, and Navy overcame a slow start to beat Longwood 73-55 on Saturday.

Chris Harris and Kaleo Kina each had 18 points and five assists for the Midshipmen (7-8), who have won four straight games for the first time since 2001.

Kevin Swecker scored 19 points to lead the Lancers (4-14), who frustrated the Midshipmen in the first half, holding them to 24.1 percent shooting. The game was tied at 23 at halftime.

Navy came out on fire in the second half, making nine of its first 13 shots and outscoring Longwood 25-7 to take a 48-30 lead with 12:37 to play. Harris had 10 points and Sprink scored eight during the run, which effectively put the game out of reach.

Romeo Garcia had 10 rebounds for the Midshipmen, who topped the Lancers on the boards by a 53-41 margin.

Ryan Bogan added 12 points for Longwood, and Kevin Williams had 11 points and nine rebounds. The Lancers shot just 26.2 percent from the floor.
