CENTER VALLEY, Pa. -- Tying a career high in points and recording a double-double helped Navy's Cassie Consedine (So., Bartlesville, Okla.) to be named as this week's Patriot League Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Monday by the league office.

Consedine tallied 24 points and 12 rebounds during Navy's 61-44 victory over Radford on Dec. 22 in Alumni Hall. The 24 points tied the career high she set just six games ago, while the one dozen caroms was her second straight double-double and fifth of the season. She is averaging 17.6 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.7 blocked shots a game over the last seven games.

Though this is first player-of-the-week laurel earned by Consedine in her career, she was tabbed as the league's rookie of the week five times during the 2007-08 season.

Navy will next be in action Saturday afternoon when the Mids play at Air Force. The game that is slated to tip at 5:30 p.m. (EST) will be carried live on The Mountain West Sports Network.
