The Mids won last year, 73-71, in overtime in Annapolis ... Navy dropped to 24-4 all-time against Big South teams and 141-85 against teams from Virginia.
• Navy's 50.0 percent (8-of-16) free throw shooting equaled the lowest percentage since the Mids went 4-9 (.444) against Villanova on Nov. 25, 2006.
• Navy saw a five-game November winning streak come to an end, dating back to last year.
• Navy has now made a three-pointer in 185 consecutive games and at least three three-pointers in 135 straight games ... Navy's 33 three-point attempts tied for the ninth most in school history.
INDIVIDUAL NOTES:
• Chris Harris recorded his 50th career double-figure game and 15th career 20-point game ... with his five three-pointers, he moved past Michael Heary into 2nd place on the Navy career three-pointers made list with 205 ... he has now made five or more three-pointers in 13 of his 91 games ... Harris started the game 4-of-4 from long range, but finished just 1-of-11 ... Harris tied the school record for most three-point attempts in a game (15), set three other times ... Harris' 24 field goal attempts were a career high.
• Jordan Sugars set career highs in points (16), rebounds (16), field goals made (6), field goal attempts (16), three-pointers made (3), three-point attempts (10) and minutes played (40) ... the 16-point, 16-rebound effort was his first career double-double ... the 16 rebounds were the most since Matt Fannin grabbed 19 against American on Jan. 12, 2005 ... his start was his first career start.
• Romeo Garcia set career highs in points (13), field goals made (5) and field goal attempts (9).
• T.J. Topercer had eight points and four rebounds ... Topercer's eight points were the most for him since scoring eight against Army on Feb. 17, 2007.
