ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- After opening its season last week with a pair of wins on the road, the Navy women's basketball team will begin the home portion of its schedule this weekend in Alumni Hall. The Mids will play a pair of games over the course of the annual Navy Classic.
Navy will take on Villanova Friday at 5:45 p.m. before playing host to Harvard Saturday at 8:30 p.m. The two non-Navy games feature Oral Roberts playing Harvard Friday at 3:30 p.m. and Villanova facing Oral Roberts Saturday at 11 a.m.

Fans are reminded that only those vehicles with a Department of Defense sticker affixed to it will be allowed to drive onto the grounds of the USNA. All other visitors to The Yard have the option of either finding parking in downtown Annapolis and walking through the Academy's gates or riding the free shuttle bus to and from the USNA. Friday's shuttle bus will depart from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, while Saturday's shuttle bus will depart from the Navy Exchange. Navy began its season last week by recording a 57-43 victory over Siena and a 72-55 win over NJIT. The Mids sank nine three-point field goals and tallied 24 points after Siena turnovers to help Navy to the season-opening win over the Saints. Angela Myers (Sr., San Antonio, Texas) enjoyed a productive first game of the season with 21 points, five assists, five rebounds and three steals in 35 minutes of playing time. Joining her in double figures was Jasmine Pitts (So., Long Beach, N.Y.), who sank four three-point field goals on her way to a 17-point effort.
The Mids would open up a 19-point, first-half cushion over NJIT two days later, but by the early part of the second half all but two points of that Navy advantage had evaporated. An 8-0 run midway through the half allowed the Mids to separate themselves somewhat from the Highlanders, and that led to Navy leading by at least 10 points over the remainder of the game. Navy enjoyed an 18-6 advantage on the offensive glass, which helped the Mids tally 20 second-chance points to just two for NJIT. Five different Mids scored in double figures in the contest. Pacing all Mids was Cassie Consedine (Sr., Bartlesville, Okla.) with 15 points. Both she and Chey Arvin (So., Noblesville, Ind.) hauled in nine boards in the game. Meanwhile, Myers recorded a statistical line of 14 points, seven steals and six assists.
Villanova posted a 14-16 record last season and placed 13th in the Big East Conference with a 3-13 mark. The Wildcats have split the two games they have played this season, recording a 57-42 victory at home over La Salle and dropping a 69-62 decision at Delaware.
Friday's game will be the first between the two programs.
Harvard compiled a 20-9 record during the 2009-10 season, which included a 71-55 victory over Navy. The Crimson finished the Ivy League campaign in second place with an 11-3 record. Harvard's lone game of this season saw the Crimson defeat Maine by the score of 73-54.
Last year's meeting between the Mids and the Crimson was the first between the teams.
