The Mids won a Patriot League opener on the road for just the second time in school history with a 62-56 victory over Bucknell this past Saturday night in Lewisburg, Pa. Navy used a 15-2 run to overcome a four-point deficit with four minutes left to play in the game to defeat the Bison. The win was the third in a span of four games for the Mids and improved Navy's record on the year to 8-7.

Freshmen Alix Membreno (Loxahatchee, Fla.) and Jade Geif (Lakeview, Minn.) both set career scoring highs in the game for the Mids. Membreno paced all Navy players in the game with 15 points, while Geif recorded 14 points. Both players also tallied five rebounds apiece in the game as well.

Lehigh compiled a 31-3 record against Patriot League competition in winning league regular season and tournament titles during the 2009 and `10 seasons. However, the Mountain Hawks started the 2011 league campaign with a 64-51 loss to American last weekend in Bethlehem. The loss ended Lehigh's nine-game winning streak and dropped its overall record on the season to 10-6.

Lehigh has won each of the last six games it has played against Navy. Four of those six games have been decided by four points or less. This includes a 54-53 victory by the Mountain Hawks last February here in Alumni Hall.

In all, Lehigh holds a 23-20 lead in the all-time series with Navy, including a 21-17 advantage in Patriot League regular season games. Navy does hold a slim 11-10 edge in games played in Annapolis.

Navy will be back in Alumni Hall Saturday night to play host to Lafayette (7 p.m.) before playing its next three games on the road.
