•WATCH CRAFTON'S FIRST ENTRY

ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Navy men's basketball associate head coach Jason Crafton's first diary entry of the 2011-12 season is now available on CollegeChalkTalk.com(.) Crafton is doing a video diary series for the website for the second straight season and his first entry gives Navy fans a behind-the-scenes look at the Navy basketball program.

Crafton remains the only service academy coach to blog for the website.

Now entering its third full season, the National Coaches' Diary Series - the first and only of its kind - is stronger than ever, having grown from 50 coaches in year one to over 85 coaches from 25 different leagues today, and Navy men's basketball associate head coach Jason Crafton will once again participate during the 2011-12 season. Each coach provides regular insight into his respective team or tackles hot-button issues in today's game, giving readers a glimpse into the life of a coach at the highest collegiate level.

With a lineup of contributors from Rhode Island to Hawaii (and nearly every state in between), the NCDS offers a blend of perspectives seen nowhere else in the world of digital and print media. New this year and in addition to writing entries, participants may also do video diaries if they so choose.

Navy will open the season on Nov. 11 with a contest against Longwood in Farmville, Va., beginning at 7:00 pm. The home opener will take place two days later in Alumni Hall when Penn State-Altoona visits on Nov. 13, beginning at 4:00 pm.
