NAVY BATTLES PRESBYTERIAN IN FINAL GAME BEFORE HOLIDAY BREAK
• With a 12-day break between games for final exams, Navy will close out its pre-Holiday portion of its schedule on Thursday, Dec. 22, with a 7:00 pm tilt at Presbyterian College in Clinton, S.C.
• Following an eight-day break between games for the Holiday break, the Midshipmen will return home for a season-long three-game homestand, beginning Friday, Dec. 30, against a strong Mercer team. Tip-off will be at 7:00 pm at Alumni Hall. Navy will also battle Norfolk State at 4:00 pm on New Year's Day and take on Lafayette in the Patriot League opener on Jan. 7 at 7:00 pm.

• The contest will be available on WNAV (1430 AM, 99.9 FM, wnav.com) with Pete Medhurst handling the call courtside, beginning with the Navy basketball pregame show at 6:45 pm.

SCOUTING THE MIDSHIPMEN
• Navy returns to the hardwood after seven days of final exams (Dec. 13-20) and will face a Presbyterian squad that is coming off a 75-71 victory against Furman on Tuesday night.
• Navy will be playing its eighth true road game on Thursday night, posting a 1-6 record. Through the Christmas holiday, Navy's eight road games are the 11th most nationally behind Chicago State (10), Bryant (9), St. Francis, N.Y. (9), Cal State Bakersfield (9), Jacksonville (9), Savannah State (9), Texas Southern (9), Mississippi Valley State (9), Jackson State (9) and Alabama State (9).
• Navy is averaging just 61.5 points per game and has not scored 65 points in a road game since the season opener against Longwood, a 78-70 Navy victory.
• Navy hasn't shot over 50.0 percent since the second game of the year against PSU Altoona.
• In the last two games, Navy has 35 assists on 47 made field goals with just 26 turnovers.
• J.J. Avila and Jordan Sugars both average in double figures at 14.5 and 10.2 points per game, respectively. However, the duo is just 25-of-88 (.284) from three-point range.
• J.J. Avila is one of seven players nationally to average 14.0 points per game, 6.0 rebounds per game and 3.0 assists per game. He and Iowa State's Royce White and the only players nationally to lead their teams in points, rebounds, assists and steals.
