ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- NavySports.com recently sat down with Navy junior goalkeeper Max Renaldo to find out more about the men's soccer player from Tampa, Fla. Renaldo appeared in one game last year, preserving a shutout against VMI early in the season. Off the field, Renaldo carries a 3.36 GPA in ocean engineering and graduated from the same high school (Jesuit High) as baseball manager Lou Piniella.
The Navy men's soccer team opens its 2011 season on Friday, Aug. 26 with an 8:00 pm match a VCU and on Sunday, Aug. 28 at Old Dominion. The home opener will be the following Thursday (Sept. 1) against Fairleigh Dickinson beginning at 7:00 pm at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
