ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- NavySports.com recently sat down with Navy senior forward Wes Powell to find out more about the men's soccer player from Jackson, N.J. Powell is a two-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll and is one of three players in school history with two Golden Goals, including one against Army in the 2009 season.
The Navy men's soccer team opens its 2011 season on Friday, Aug. 26 with an 8:00 pm match a VCU and on Sunday, Aug. 28 at Old Dominion. The home opener will be the following Thursday (Sept. 1) against Fairleigh Dickinson beginning at 7:00 pm at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
