ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Head coach Stefanie Pemper announced today the freshman class that will be part of the Navy women's basketball program for the upcoming 2011-12 season.
"I'm very happy with the freshmen and have really enjoyed getting to know them better in fall workouts; they are working hard," said Pemper. "We needed some things in this class which is how it became so big. We needed size inside, three-point shooting, athleticism and a gal who can play the point-guard position. Each of these women brings something tangible to the team and our returning players are doing a nice job introducing them to what we value. I'm excited."
